I spent 18 years as a freelance consultant, learning other people’s businesses and building the software they needed. For banks, DR, TV2, the Danish Agency for Digitisation, and plenty of other places. Some of them even required a security clearance through PET (The Danish National Security and Intelligence Service).

But I’ve always been building on the side.

In 2012 I developed a WordPress plugin that integrated WooCommerce with E-conomic. In 2019 I built De Magiske 3, a webshop with over 5,000 titles, built from scratch with a custom backend for Shopify. Both taught me something. Neither became a business.

Now I’m building my own.

I’m documenting the journey here. What works. What fails. And what I wish I had known 10 years ago.
