Privacy

This policy explains what personal data V40 ApS processes when you use kra.dev, why we process it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

V40 ApS (CVR 37190608), Rønne Allé 19, 4220 Korsør, Denmark, is the data controller for kra.dev. Data protection is the responsibility of the company’s director, Kristian R. Aalborg. We are not required to appoint a formal data protection officer and have not done so; for anything concerning your data, write to hi@kra.dev.

What we process, and why

  • Visiting the site. Our servers register technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We use it to deliver the site securely and to detect abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.
  • Analytics. The site uses Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that works without cookies and collects only aggregate numbers. It does not identify you or follow you across sites. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding overall site usage (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Newsletter. The newsletter runs on Kit (kit.com). If you subscribe, we process your email address to send you the newsletter, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). Every issue has an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing withdraws your consent and removes your address from the list.
  • Email. If you write to hi@kra.dev or support@kra.dev, we process your address and message solely to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(f)), or the contract with you if you are a customer. Correspondence is deleted no later than two years after the matter is closed, unless bookkeeping law requires us to keep it longer.
  • Purchases. When you buy services or products from us, we process your name, contact details, order and delivery information, and invoicing data in order to fulfil the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). Payment card details are handled by the payment provider presented at checkout and are never stored by us. Records that belong in our accounts are kept for five full financial years, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act (Art. 6(1)(c)). Purchases of AlbumMaker made through Apple’s App Store are handled by Apple under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

The AlbumMaker app itself has its own privacy policy. The short version: the app collects nothing.

Who receives your data

We share personal data only with the processors that run the site for us, and only to the extent needed: Fly.io (hosting, EU region, Stockholm), Tigris (image storage and delivery), Plausible (analytics, EU), Kit (newsletter, US), and the payment provider presented at checkout when we sell directly. We never sell your data.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

We prefer providers in the EU. Where a provider processes data in the United States (such as Kit), the transfer is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15), to have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16), to have data deleted (Art. 17), to restrict processing (Art. 18), to receive the data you gave us in a portable format (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Write to hi@kra.dev and we will respond within a month. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, or to the supervisory authority in the country where you live.

Cookies and local storage

kra.dev does not set tracking cookies. Your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage and never leaves your machine. The embedded newsletter signup form (Kit) and its Google reCAPTCHA protection may set third-party cookies when you use the form. If we ever introduce cookies that require consent, we will ask for it before setting them.

Children

kra.dev and our services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to hi@kra.dev and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our processing changes, and always before we start selling through a new channel.

Terms

Purchases of AlbumMaker are handled by Apple through the App Store under Apple’s terms. When we sell services or products directly, the specific terms and prices are presented before you buy. The newsletter is free.
